Good Morning everyone,
I got some well deserved sleep last night (even had a dream of Brad Pitt!!). When I left the Ronald McDonald house this morning, a robin was in the tree by my car singing a beautiful song. Myles and I always celebrate the first robin's song as we know that we made it through winter and a beautiful spring is around the corner. I truly believe that the robin was singing to remind me that Myles' rough winter is now over and he is going to be renewed and come back even stronger (as all of Mother Natures life does in the spring). I was soooo happy to hear that robin this morning, I cried for the first time of joy. I can't wait until Myles wakes up so I can tell him. As far as the blood clots, the decision was made to not do anything and see if they will just go away. The risks involved in either thinning his blood or surgery are to great. They will check the clots with an ultrasound every day to make sure that they are staying in his calf and not moving up into his femur. If they start to migrate, well hopefully we will not have to deal with that as the robin has promised. The picture above was yesterday (Friday) of buggies full of pain meds before his bandage change (the sucker in his mouth is morphine) he loves it when I wash his hair and give him a scalp massage. He will probably marry a hairdresser!!! We are hoping that I can finally after three weeks take Myles for a cruise around the hospital today in a wheel chair. I am so excited about this as all he has known for these last three weeks is his bed in ICU and the "torture chamber" (that's what we so lovingly call where they change his bandages daily). I might even try to sneak him outside to see if a robin is there to sing/tell Myles the good news. Boy, you can sure tell that I got more than two hours of sleep last night. I also want to bring Myles to this computer room so he can see the blog, channel 6 stories, and newspaper articles that have been done. He really doesn't know how many people are praying and rootin for him. He will be overwhelmed.

Good Morning! I was listening the birds sing the other morning, too! It seems so early to be hearing them, but it's probably not! I am glad that the robin's song has given you hope and renewed joy! We immediately began to pray when we heard of the blood clots and will continue to pray for all of you. For strength, hope and the miracle of the clots disappearing.
May the ride around the hospital today be full of fun and joy, for Myles and you! Myles! Have fun "cruisin'" the hospital hallways! I'm sure you'll be making friends as you go!
I think Kristy B. asked about you giving me a call. If you have the opportunity to call, I have a couple of questions for you -- some ideas to help pass the time, but I'd like to know if they're ones that Myles would enjoy.
Have a great day. My family, our church and and I are all praying for you! I know that SO MANY others are, too!
Peace and Blessings,
Karla Morton
Have a good and peaceful day Sherry. I can only imagine the things the two of you will find wheel'n around the hospital. :)
You are in my heart.
I'm off to plant flowers for a lady in Seal Beach. No Robins, but I will appreciate the sounds more because of your beautiful description.
Love,
Christine

Dear Sherry,
Awesome pictures!! Brian Marshall and myself ran a 5 mile race this morning in honor of Myles! It was for Children's hospital in Washington DC. We dedicated our run to him! Brian Finished is 47min and his slow old aunt k8 finished in 48!
The news about leaving Myles alone and letting his body take over . . . is GREAT. We will continue to pray HARD for his continued recovery!
Here's today's devotion!:
He’s Been There
Saturday, March 10, 2007
“He had to enter into every detail of human life."
Hebrews 2:17 MSG
You’ve barely dipped a toe into Matthew’s gospel when you realize Jesus hails from the Tilted-Halo Society. Rahab was a Jericho harlot. Grandpa Jacob was slippery enough to warrant an electric ankle bracelet. David had a personality as irregular as a Picasso painting- one day writing psalms, another day seducing his captain’s wife. But did Jesus erase his name from the list? Not at all…
Why did Jesus hang his family’s dirty laundry on the neighborhood clothesline?
Because your family has some too. The dad who never came home. The grandparent who ran away with the coworker. If your family tree has bruised fruit, then Jesus wants you to know, “I’ve been there.”
The phrase “I’ve been there” is in the chorus of Christ’s theme song. To the lonely, Jesus whispers, “I’ve been there.” To the discouraged, Christ nods his head and sighs, “I’ve been there.”
Dear Sherry and Myles . . . hang in there! Keep the updates coming, and we'll continue to pray for Myles and many many others. Aaron . . . .hang in there too! You are prayed for also! I hope you feel them!
Many blessings,
Kate, Dwayne, Scott and Kaitlin

First of all, I love the mohawk. Looks great on you little bro. Second, i am sooooo glad that you got sleep last night, Sherry. You deffinately deserved it. To wake up to the first robin's song of the season is deffinately a good sign. I have no doubt that Myles is out of the woods and on the right path. As spring is starting to show it's colors, the earth is sending healing powers and lessening the depression and hardships of winter. I'm sure that even in his hospital room, Myles can or soon will feel the inner power of renewed strength and healing. Although the clots are dangerous and hard to handle, I'm sure that Myles is done with the hardest part of his recovery. He's delt with the pain of the accident, the pain of the first few days of recovery, the surgery, and the infection. The doctors are doing well by Myles and I know are doing their best to make him better. I hope that Aaron and Tuyet are doing well. I'm sure your animals are in good hands and are thriving as the season changes and warms. I love you all so much and I hope that you continue to hear the songs of the season. Be good to yourselves and eachother and be sure to continue your emotional healing as well as your physical.
Myles and Sherry,
Halleluja, Halleluja, Halleluja.
Praise the Lord! Prayers are being answered. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and all Your strength and all your might.
Sherry, I could tell you had a good night sleep the moment I started reading. You sounded great. When you said you were tired. God says, I will give you rest. Matt 11:28-30
Myles, You look great. I love your hairdo. There is a lady at church that sucks on the same kind of sucker and your Aunt Kate and I call her (not to her face) the lolipop girl. lol. If it helps, then by all means have a sucker.
We love you so much. Can't wait to see you soon.
Love
Celia, Dave, Brian and Marie
Sherry & Myles -
It's such a relief to shed tears of joy. I'm praying everyday & everywhere... in the grocery store, the car, the tub!
Today, I visited the UCSanDiego "school" of oceanography... the rest of us call it the BEACH. It was just beautiful. I imagined you there, picking up rocks and clams, and diving into the surf; maybe the hospital would let me mail you some sand?
Thanks so much for keeping us all posted.
Go Myles!... GO MYLES!
