This has been one of the longest days of my life and I am sure that it was for buggies, Aaron, and Tuyet also. Myles has been in a delerious state all day (he keeps telling me to go feed the horses, goats and donkeys). I am glad he has not been completely aware of this day. The doctors seem to be at a loss as to how he went from "the best recovery they have ever seen" to what happen. The tube going into his stomach has seem to start helping his swollen stomach that was pushing his heart and diaprham. His blood pressure is slowly rising 70/40. I his blood pressure didn't start rising he would of gone into total organ failure. The big problem now is his infection (they don't know where the infection is coming from) which they are trying to treat with many different antibiotics. They also put in a arterial line in his groin area (through the burn areas) to aid in the vital info that they need. The hardest part was that they can not give him any pain meds or knock him out because of his low blood pressure. I couldn't stand his screaming and had to leave the room but Aaron stayed by his side for the entire time. He is considered double ICU right now, which means that a nurse has to be in his room 24 hours a day. If they antibiotics work (God willing) he will return to his smiling, determined and wonderful self in a few days. Then we can continue where we left off.
Thank you all for doubling up on the prayers. I kind of think that God is still mad at me for cursing at him for putting my baby through this, but I do know he is a forgiving God and lives in all of us. I will update in the morning as the next 24 hours will tell if this is all working.
Love and Thanks to all of you for your prayers.

Dear Myles,
The whole Carthey family is praying for you and your family. You are a lucky boy to have your wonderful mother and Aaron by your side.
I had to have a skin graft when I had melonoma. In a small way, compared to you, I can sympathize with what you are experiencing. It is tough!
Myles, you are a brave survivor in your young life. You have had many challenges to overcome and you have done a great job. Hang in there and know that you are surrounded with love and prayers as well as the expertize of the doctors.
So many people love Myles
Ganley!!!
Lots of Love and Hugs,
Mrs. Carthey (your 2nd grade
teacher)
Hey Myles, it's yur brother Ryan, Jenna and are I praying for you and we know if anyone can pull through this it's you. I've meet a lot of strong people in my life, wether they were special forces, rangers, or whatever, but you are stronger than ALL of them combined. I've never met anyone as tough as you and able to take on the world like you owned the whole thing. You're going to grow up to be a strong man and a great leader. Of all the people in the world YOU can pull through this. No one can do the amazing things you can do. I'm so glad to be a part of your family and have such an amazing brother. We hope to see you guys soon when all of this is over. We love you guys.
Myles,
You use to think it was neat to show me when you got your injections in your port and I would cringe and be afraid for you, but you were like "don't worry Sara it doesn't hurt". You are by far one of the bravest and coolest kids I have ever met. I know that you can get through this and everything that is put in front of you. My prayers and thoughts are with you.

"From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God." (John 6: 66-69)
It's true that God can do whatever He wants. He could with one word fulfill all our hearts' desires! Simple logic causes us at times to become angry at our sovereign, all-powerful God when He doesn't snap His fingers to our liking. Only He could remove our misery, we reason, so why doesn't He? Don't we have reason to be angry at Him?
I won't pretend to know all the reasons why God doesn't fulfill all our wishes. But as a friend often reminds me, "The Lord is still on His throne." No matter what happens, and no matter what our perplexity, He is still sovereign and knows what is best and we can relax in that truth. We can trust Him with our lives and with all of the unknowns.
Sherry,
Prayers are unceasing. God tells us to do that, so we will. Dear Lord . . . Thank you for providing Myles with some improvement. Thank you for providing him the care that he needs, and the caregivers that are required. Continue to provide Sherry, Aaron and all their friends 'signs' that Myles is improving. But most important Lord, Give Myles comfort. . . somehow! Lord, help this little man have the rest that he needs. Again, we ask this through Christ OUR Lord, AMEN and AMEN!
With all the LOVE and Prayers that I have!

Goodmorning to MYLES and Sherry,
I am soooo glad to hear that our prayers are helping. Sherry, God is a forgiving God. He also does not punish. If you get mad at him, he will not take that out on Myles. He knows that you are angry. He knows what He is doing. We may not know by He does. All we can do is to continue to Pray and Thank God thus far for all that he has done for Myles. We need to continue to pray for Gods hands to be placed also on the Healthcare workers. And most of all Myles.
Dear Lord, Heavenly Father, continue to place your hand on Myles. Please take away his pain and heal his little body. Please father have this young man back to his smiling, happy self again. We give you all the Honor and Glory, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Have a great day, and I will be thinking of you all NON STOP Today.
Cecelia
Sherry, Myles, Aaron, & Tuyet,
We are so happy to hear of Myles' improvement this morning. It's very reassuring to know you are in the best of care at one of the best hospitals 24/7. The snows we have been getting lately have made your farm look like a wonderland. I'm sure you are missing home but it is quietly waiting for your return. Myles, Mrs. Morton asked me to forward a message to you as she is having trouble with her email. She sends, "Our family, church and many friends around the country are praying for Myles. I also would want Sherry to know that God can handle her anger... That he's not punishing her for it..."
You all have been an inspiration to thousands of us as you journey through these dark days. We are all in this together and I hope you can feel our support and love. Myles, my family keeps sending me presents for you, I'll get them to you pronto. Keep us posted, all our love, Kristy, Roger and John
Add two more links to the prayer chain!
Myles-you are the most Brilliant SuperStar and we have faith that you will pull through this one. My daughter and I are praying for your absolute recovery to health and for strength to your loved ones.
Love, Anana and Mali Hicks, SD,CA
Myles we are still here for you for when you get better.
From Brandy
I can't really write anything because I'm crying hard but I just want him to know I'm reading.
