Reflections of the Past

Good Morning everyone,
Myles is still being discharged today. I didn't sleep well in the anticipation of today. I was in constant reflection/recollection of the coming of the due date when I was pregnant with him. I knew that he had severe Hemophilia when I was six months pregnant. As his due date drew near, I remember being so excited and so scared all at the same time. I was excited to start our lives together, but I was scared because I knew that as long as he was in my womb, he was safe as he was receiving my factor. I feel the same mixed emotions this morning. I am so excited that we are getting out of the hospital BUT I found comfort over the last 32 days and nights seeing his monitor and knowing that medical staff was there. It is time for him and I to continue on this path that God has set before us and we will trust in God that his blood clots are dissolving. I am also a little nervous as Myles has really not stood in front of a mirror since they life flighted us to Utah (which seems like a lifetime ago). Buggies isn't talking much about today as we have been so busy trying to learn all that we need to care for him on our own (bandage changes, factor infusions, blood thinners, etc.) The Ronald McDonald house that we are staying in has a computer so I will be able to keep you updated on "The day of his rebirth into his new life". Thank you all again, without all your prayers and support, this day may never of come.
Love to you all,
Sherry

Morning Sherryand Myles,
I am home today with a chest cold it hurts to breath. I am so happy to see you get out of the hospital. They are not a fun place to be. Now you can start to get your life back in to a norm now. i am sure your teachers have home work up the you know what for you to do.And you still have a lot of work to do in getting better, but I know that te hard times are long behind you now. So just take it one day at a time and I will write again. Uncle Tom

Sherry,
Thank you so much for the updates. We were with you in spirit while in the hospital we will also be with you at the Ronald McDonald house. When Myles does look at himself and gets upset, just remind him that it is just skin. It is better than the other ...
I cannot wait to see you all at home oppose to a hospital bed.
Let us know if you need anything, I mean that.

Love to you all,
Cecelia

Myles & Sherry,
Well the good news even gets better with time. Glad to see you got out in the sun for a little bit,, I bet having real clothes on was a treat compared to those gowns they give you. I bet in no time you two will have mastered all that they can give you. Just like the other treatments he has to get when he gets bruised bad. Well keep us informed about the possibility of coming home for it will be good to see you two. Take care and keep up the good work. We love ya, Randy and Kim

Some reflections are windows to what we think we ought to be and the remaining are that to which is known as self-discovery. Buggies, not only have you been the bravest young man I have known, you hold the key to what is certain. Keep your Mother and Father close by and remind them that they are not alone. In addition, tell your Big Brother that he will be OK. Tuyet, stand by them like you always have and let your love for the family resonate deeper. In belief of prayer, I pray that you will recover to the greatest potential. Since it is your potential that has kept you here. I love all of you and hope to hear from you, if not see you soon.

Love and Respect from The Other Big Brother,

Matthew Acosta

Dear Myles Sherry and Aaron,

AWESOME news!! I sent a message early this morning, but I guess it didn't get posted. It's awesome that you get to take Myles out of the hospital. WOW, it's a miracle, just think about what you've been through the past couple of weeks, and what all of you have overcome. It is unbelievable.

Please continue you give us updates on Myles, and I will continue to ask God to cradle all of you in his arms. As he has . . .

Please know that you are all loved, and what a blessing it's been to write and communicate to all of you each and everyday . . .as long as the blogs up, and you'll keep it going, we'll keep checking in on all of you!

Sherry and Myles ,

Great News, I bet the last 32 days have been the longest 32 days in your lives. It is so nice to see Myles up and getting back to his usual self. Ronald Mcdonald house is one step closer to getting back to your own home. GOD BLESS YOU. Take care and keep your chin up Myles.
