Hey everyone,
It's brother Aaron again with an update. Myles underwent a slight operation today. They put the IV line back into his neck for inputs, and limited his arterial line in his groin only to take out blood to do tests. This is a good thing. Also, today they released him from not being able to eat or drink so we ordered him dinner. It will be coming up shortly and I will need to go back in and help him eat chicken noodle soup and chicken fingers with BBQ sauce. They also thoroughly checked out his burns and overall had a positive assessment.
Since this afternoon he has been coming around and in between sleeping he is his usually funny and ornery self. Cracking jokes and playfully giving the nurses a hard time. The antibiotics are apparently doing their job as his white blood cell count has come way down and all the rest of his vitals are stable. Also he was able to do a little physical therapy. No walking again today but it is still a good sign. Hopefully he will be walking again soon...
For the first time in a few days we have all started feeling more at ease.
We are still not out of it yet. Since he has been so inactive he has a little fluid in his lungs. We have an aspiration contraption that he blows into to make his lungs better so we started him back up on that. (sorry I have no idea what the tube is called). So we are hoping that will clear up soon as well.
Still critical, still in pain, but we are definitely on the road to recovery of the low blood pressure and the gram negative infection!
Thank you all so so so much for all of your prayers and support during all of this. Our family cannot put in words how much we appreciate all of the love that is being channeled to help out Myles in what is assuredly the hardest time in his (and ours) life.
If Myles is feeling up for it I am going to try and get a video clip of him before I go back to Idaho and post it on the blog so he can say hello to all of you himself. Then you can all share in the joy we have had today in seeing our little buggies being himself again.
God Bless,
Aaron

Dear family
I love opening the blog to receive great and wonderful news. I hope Myles enjoys his dinner. He needs all the energy he can get so he can get ready for some walking.
We need to not only to continue to pray for to give thanks to the Lord.
Your promise revives me; it comforts me in all my toubles.
Psalms 119:50
God continues to be by Myles' side and it comforts the family and friends.
I love you all beyond words.
Good night and I lookforward to hearing from you in the morning.

Aunt Celia

Not any kind of emergency but maybe some real important information! Myles we are pulling for you as hard as we are able and are so happy to hear that you are able to start eating again. As soon as you are up walking don't hurt yourself chasing the nurses.
Love You all.

Hi Myles,
I can't tell you how happy I am to read the good news about you. It is evident that you are meeting this challenge head on, just as you have with all of the other challenges in your life. Keep up the great work. As I have said before, EVERYONE LOVES Myles. You've had a lot of good thoughts and prayers going your way.
Love & Hugs,
Mrs. Carthey
Put yourself in a state of mind where you say to yourself, "Here is an opportunity for me to celebrate like never before, my own power, my own ability to get myself to do whatever is necessary."
Martin Luther King, Jr.
Dear Myles,
Takes those words spoken above, and apply them to your life today! I know you have the ability to conquer what ever is before you.
I will continue to pray for you as I have! God will see you through this! Aaron . . .You too! OH! The tube he is blowing in . . .'incentive spirometry'. Keep blowing it Myles. IF you're watching TV, EVERYTIME a commercial comes on . . .That should be incentive spirometry time!
Dear Lord, continue to be present in Myles' recovery . . . help him to have the strength to open and exercise his lungs. Help his to laugh Lord, as that is a wonderful natural exercise that you've given all of us. Continue to heal his skin, and protect him from organisms that are ever-present. Continue to encourage his family and provide them some peace. Please guide his caregivers, and let them know that we are so grateful that they are helping Myles and his family! We ask all of this through Christ OUR Lord, AMEN.
Thank you soooooo much for these updates. They are helpful to all of us that are so far away.
All our Love,
Kate, Dwayne, Scott and Kaitlin
Myles, Sherry and family,
Sherry glad to hear from you last night. We think about you guys and your situation all the time. Was a tough weekend for all of us too thinking what the little dude is going through. Jerry says Hi, we took Zipper out to work him on some birds and Jerry gave me some pointers on how to train him. It was fun but I bet your guys names came up 50 times or more.Maybe you will be better on track now that they found the problem. Take care and we Love you all. Randy &Kim
I am so glad to know that things are looking so positive. I wouldn't have expected any less from Myles. He is a great inspiration to everyone he encounters. Myles, I love you and I'm hoping to be able to see you soon. Sherry, if you could please give me a call as soon as you can. My mother and grandma want to know if you received the package they sent to you and I was wondering when the best time to come visit is. I know that they probably wont let Amara in the ICU, so I'm trying to find a time when my mom can watch her while Ryan is at work and I can come see you all for a couple of days. I miss everyone so much. Please tell me when I can come and see you, Aaron, Myles, and Tuyet. Aaron, I need to know if you recieved the pictures my mom e-mailed to you and if not, can you please give me your e-mail address so that she can resend them. I love you all and I hope to see you soon.
hang in there myles.
from Brandy
