Hey everyone,
I'm sure that this has seen like a long time since my last update. The last two days have felt like a lifetime for us. None of the doctors knew what was happening to Myles and waiting for the 2 days for the cultures to be read was hard. I just got out of a long meeting with the doctors and we know what has happened. Myles' blood was contaminated with a bacterial organism called "Klebsiella pneumoniae". They now know which antibiotics will work!!!! Myles blood pressure is perfect now but he has some slight damage to his kidneys from the lack of blood flow yesterday. His cat scan on his brain showed no signs of bleeding (YEAH). Hopefully the antibiotic will work quickly and buggies will be back to his "new normal" self. Every day without rehab will make his recovery of his skin grafts harder, BUT HE IS OUT OF THE WOODS AS FAR AS HIS INFECTION GOES. He actually started yelling at the nurses today when they changed all of his bandages. That is a good sign. He had two female nurses working on his left hand and two male nurses working on his right hand. Myles said "You can sure tell that women are better at this than men". We all laughed. As always, thank you all for your prayers and loving support. I am confident that future updates are going to be wonderful.

Howard here;
What great news. We have been worried each time the phone would ring, just didn't want to get any bad news. Now that thet have identified the problem Myles, you will soon be back on the fast track to full recovery! All the animals are doing fine and are waiting for you to come home.
Love to all.
First off, told you so! If anyone can get through anything, it's Myles. I knew that if we just kept being positive and optimistic, he would pull through. It's terrible to hear about the minor kindey damage, but if that's the least of the worries right now, then right on. He is a champ! Myles, you are my hero. You are so strong and after everything you've gone through in the past few weeks, you can still make people laugh. I love you!
Take care,
Jenna
Hey Myles and family!
THANK GOD! We have been checking this site every hour...yes, even in the middle of the night last night! This email makes it all worth it! I cant tell you how happy we are!
We went to the beach this morning.. where we go to meditate and talk to our creator. We were going to hopefully get some stress off.... anyway just as we walked up we realized something was going on. Turns out that there was two whales RIGHT of the beach. They were beautiful and it was for sure something we have never seen before. Then on the way home we passed this little planter and this parakeet practiclly jumped right onto my shoulder! I knew then that today was going to be a GREAT day!
We are so thankful.
Sherry you are doing a GREAT job and you are an amazing mother. Aaron THANK YOU for sticking with Myles, we all know how much he loves you.

John Haynes here;
Hi Myles, Sherry, Aaron & Tuyet, I've been constantly thinking about you and am adding all of my psychic energy and prayers to join with all of your wonderful friends and family's prayers for a complete and full recovery for Myles. My heart is broken and tears are flowing. This only strengthens my resolve with the Universe that Myles will completely recover and he will continue on in the grand plan that life has for him. When I saw him at his Aunt Susan's ceremony, it was clear how special Myles is and that he will be, at least, President.
My deepest love to you all,
John
Hello everybody

Sherry,
Awesome news! Praise God, from whom all blessings flow. Thank you so much for all of your updates. It was good to hear Tom's voice today, and speak to one of Myles' nurses . . .CJ?! Anyway, we thank ALL of the caregivers for taking care of Myles, and the entire family. I'll check in tomorrow. GET SOME REST!

That's GREAT!
Everybody on the bus will be SO excited (especially John & Johnathan). It'll be no time before we see you again, Myles. We'll be waiting!
Myles,
This is the greatest news I have heard all weekend.
Did you ever see the movie City of Angels? Well, if not or so, Seth, the angel questions why we cry when we are happy and/or when we are sad. It is because we are filled with so much emotion there is so much pressure that tears spill out . Well, that is how I am right now. I am so full of happiness that the tears are running down my checks.
Thank you Myles for all your hard work that you did this weekend. Now, you get some rest because tomorrow you have some catching up to do.
We will continue to ask for Gods hands to be on you.
Everyone else, you too get some rest. I will sleep like a baby, because like most of all the people who are there at the hospital and home praying for Myles, did not get a lot of sleep this weekend.
Goodnight everyone.
Love, Cecelia

“Love suffers long and is kind.”
I Corinthians 13:4 NIV
What is your kindness quotient? When was the last time you did something kind for someone in your family—e.g., got a blanket, cleaned off the table, prepared the coffee—without being asked?
Think about your school or workplace. Which person is the most overlooked or avoided? A shy student? A grumpy employee? Maybe he doesn’t fit in. Are you kind to this person?
Kind hearts are quietly kind. They let the car cut into traffic and the young mom with three kids move up in the checkout line. They pick up the neighbor’s trash can that rolled into the street. And they are especially kind at church. They understand that perhaps the neediest person they’ll meet all week is the one standing in the foyer or sitting on the row behind them in worship. Paul writes: “When we have the opportunity to help anyone, we should do it. But we should give special attention to those who are in the family of believers” (Gal. 6:10).
Dear Sherry and Myles . .. and Aaron Too . . . .I love this devotion. The bible quote was Pop-Pop Ganley's favorite. The whole devotion sounds like Myles. (From reading about him) Sherry, Thank you for your emails to Celia . . .Those help! I'm sorry . . .we've been invisible to you . . . God works in ways that I don't understand, but God is good . . ."all the time". If nothing else, I've found you. I didn't know where you were, hadn't heard from my brother in FOREVER.
Kaitlin has found a cousin that she can somewhat relate to. Her nick name is 'bugs' . . .she loves I love Lucy. Being a red-head she certainly can relate to that. She has a great sense of humor! She was born with Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia, so she too has a sense of what it is like to have special health needs. Even though the two of them have never met, you'd think Myles was her best friend. She has been praying so hard, and asking ALL of her friends to do the same.
Without ceasing!
God continue to watch over Myles and his family. Thank you for providing some 'mental' comfort this weekend to those who have been at his bedside worried 'sick'. Continue to blanket them with our thoughts and prayers, and tell them that we will continue to 'suffer long', because that is the loving kind thing to do! Continue to lift Aaron up! Keep his spirit and his soul fresh, as he is his brothers' keeper, and needs to be an encouragment to Myles. Please let them all know they are loved!
Continued love!

Hey Myles & Family,
I just got to catch up on all the blogs and I my heart sunk the other day when My Mom (Aunt Kate)told that Myles took a turn for the worse. I never thought in my mind that anything would go wrong after the way he had already recovered before. I'm just so glad that we live in a day&age where medicine is so advanced and they found out what was happening to Myles. I'm glad he's getting better although he still needs to beat this infection, which I know he will. Love you all Very Much.
♥Kaitlin
