He's Back!!!!

Hey everyone, Myles is definitely back. Eating, drinking, cracking jokes, he's definitely back. They (ICU staff) has wasted no time getting him back on schedule. He eats breakfast, has one hour of physical therapy, has a complete body bandage change, eats lunch, and then has about two more hours of physical therapy. It wears me out just watching him go through it all but buggies seems to have the determination of a goliath. They are going to remove the arterial line in his groin in about a half hour. Then tommorow they will have him up and walking again. This will be great for the fluid in his lungs don't seem to be going down with him just laying there. His physical therapist says she has never seen such a determined person. Got to go so I can be with him during the line removal. Lots of love Sherry

Myles! I'm so happy to hear that you have snapped back to normal. You are one strong kid. Sound like to me your right back on track to getting fully recovered. With the new picture up It looks like your doing fine. Although everytime I see a picture of you I have to do a double take because you look so much like our cousin Brian (Aunt Celia's son) He is about your age but he's a year younger and you two could be twins or atleast brothers its so weird that someone almost 3,000 miles away could look so much like someone I have seen almost everyday of my life.

I just want you to know as well I wish i could get fed everyday and brought powerade like you. haha that be pretty cool just like the nose-scratcher. But you just keep working on that physical thereapy and then that will hopefully make your lungs get better as well. I just want you to get back like before and start walking again. I'm sure the worst is over, now you just need to get better and better.

With All my Prayers And thoughts,

♥kaitlin

It's so nice to see you back where you belong Myles. For the Heavens are all singing.
You are the strongest young men I have ever heard of. You Myles are going somewhere and NO ONE is going to stop you. I wish everyone could be like you. There are people who have not gone through half of what you have been put through and all they do is sit back and feel sorry for themselves and ask for pitty. Not you Myles. You look at it as just another day, what can I do for you now. That Myles is what God likes. He knows you can do anything and therefore He will do anything for you. God loves you and your family. He will never leave your side. Eventhough I am not next to you, in spirt, I will always be by your side. When you feel a little wind go past your check, Well that was Me by your side. Always remember that.

I love you and can't wait to see all that you are going to do for us tomorrow.

Keep up on your inspiration thing.

Love you way too much,
Aunt Celia

Mrs. Tustin called me today, just to celebrate you! The way you've bounced back is remarkable. And quite typical of you.

Dear Myles and Family...

You stole my heart when I first heard your story and saw your picture. You remind me so much of one of my boys. He too has a beautiful smile and from what I can tell, you both share a true love of life.

I have never been a very religious person, but when I read that you were struggling, I prayed. Bless your little heart...you rallied! It just warms my heart to hear that you are doing so much better.

Keep up that fighting spirit, Myles. You're in an awesome little guy.

Best Wishes,

Diane G.

we are thrilled Myles is on his way back, will let the Costa Mesa crowd know. Try some colloidal silver on those wounds to keep the scarring down. Sherry, take 60 seconds for yourself to enjoy the light at the end of the tunnel.
love to you all

Redefining Prayer
Wednesday, March 07, 2007

“Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving.”
Colossians 4:2 NKJV

Early Christians were urged to

“pray without ceasing” (I Thess. 5:17 NASB);
“always be prayerful” (Rom. 12:12 NLT);
“pray at all times and on every occasion” (Eph. 6:18 NLT).

Sound burdensome? Are you wondering, My business needs attention, my children need dinner, my bills need paying. How can I stay in a place of prayer?

Do this. Change your definition of prayer. Think of prayer less as an activity for God and more as an awareness of God. Seek to live in uninterrupted awareness. Acknowledge his presence everywhere you go. As you stand in line to register your car, think, Thank you, Lord, for being here. In the grocery as you shop, Your presence, my King, I welcome. As you wash the dishes, worship your Maker.

Dear Sherry,

Lately . . . I have been doing just that! I am so happy that Myles is returning to himself. I hope and pray that you are getting some rest, and taking comfort in the fact that your 'buggies' is improving. I know that some of your support is leaving today. Our support of 'thoughts and prayers' will continue and continue. Please let us know if you need us there, and we will board a plane directly!

Keep strong Myles!

All our love,

Kate, Dwayne, Scott and Kaitlin

Hi Myles and Sherry,
So happy to hear the good news. I contacted someone who has gone through the burn center. She spoke to my health classes last semester. She might be contacting you to offer support. Her name is Shelley. She knows the staff and physicians well.

We went to Bogus over the weekend with Jordan. We tried to make a skiing/boarding video for you, but the light was pretty flat. It turned out OK, but not as good as we would have liked.

Eric says hi! The kids at school really miss you.

Take care -
Arlene and Eric

God Has No Limitations
Thursday, March 08, 2007

“Where can I go to get away from your Spirit?” Psalm 139:7

You and I are governed. The weather determines what we wear. The terrain tells us how to travel. Gravity dictates our speed, and health determines our strength. We may challenge these forces and alter them slightly, but we never remove them.

God—our Shepherd—doesn’t check the weather; he makes it. He doesn’t defy gravity; he created it. He isn’t affected by health; he has no body. Jesus said, “God is spirit” (John 4:24). Since he has no body, he has no limitations—equally active in Cambodia as he is in Connecticut.

“Where can I go to get away from your Spirit?” asked David. “Where can I run from you? If I go up to the heavens, you are there. If I lie down in the grave, you are there” (Psalm 139:7-8).

Dear Sherry, Myles and ALL,

See Myles, God is with you . . . ALWAYS! Uncle Tom sent me some pictures of you via his phone. I have shared them with MANY. Good for you! Walking!! Keep it up. Prayers will continue. I hope you feel them!

Kate, Dwayne, Scott and Kaitlin
