I'm Sorry

I am sorry for my last postings. This blog site is about buggies recovery and will remain as such.
Myles received his new pressure garments today. They are red and black and he is very excited because he thinks they are cool (and they fit better than his first set). He is wearing the vest and gloves but can not wear his new arm sleeves until the issue with the blood thinner has been healed. I just talked to the school and I am going to send him back to there on Monday for 3 periods. We will see how it goes and if all is well eventually he will return to full days, if not, we will wait a little longer. He needs to get back into seeing his friends and enjoying life. Will keep you all posted on how he does.
With love,
Sherry

Myles,
That is great news! I think that is great you going back to school, even if it is for only 3 periods. You need to get back into a normal life style.
My prayers will continue to be with you and the rest of your family.

Jesus Offers Peace
Sunday, April 22, 2007

“Peace be with you.”
John 20:19

The church of Jesus Christ began with a group of frightened men in a second-floor room in Jerusalem.

Though they’d marched with Jesus for three years, they now sat…afraid. They were timid soldiers, reluctant warriors, speechless messengers.

Daring to dream that the master had left them some word, some plan, some direction, they came back.

But little did they know their wildest dream wasn’t wild enough. Just as someone mumbles, “It’s no use,” they hear a noise. They hear a voice: “Peace be with you.”

The one betrayed sought his betrayers. What did he say to them? Not “What a bunch of flops!” Not “I told you so.” No “Where-were-you-when-I-needed-you?” speeches. But simply one phrase, “Peace be with you.” The very thing they didn’t have was the very thing he offered: peace.

Myles, Sherry and all,
It was GREAT to talk to you on Friday. Myles, you sound great. I prayed all weekend. I really did, I asked God to take away the pain in your forearms, i hope he heard me.

We spent the weekend, in southwest Virginia. Kaitlin is looking at a college: University of Virginia: Wise. We past right by Virginia Tech. What a crazy, tragic week those students and families have had. We pray that they can find some solace in this tragedy. Only time will tell.

We loved UVA-Wise, it's a very small liberal art college. Student size is only 2000. It's a tenth of the size of UVA . . . we loved the campus and the feel of the school. Feel like it would be great for Kaitlin. She's looking into Nursing . . . that would be AWESOME!!!

Hope you continue to do well Myles. I'm sure that returning to school will be good for your heart and your soul. It will be great to be around your friends.

Keep me posted!

Much LOVE

We Are Family

Be devoted to one another in brotherly love.
Romans 12:10 NIV

Common belief identifies members of God’s family. And common affection unites them. Paul gives this relationship rule for the church: “Be devoted to one another in brotherly love.” The apostle plays the wordsmith here, bookending the verse with fraternal-twin terms. He begins with philostorgos (philos means friendly; storgos mean family love) and concludes with philadelphia (phileo means tender affection; adelphia means brethren). An awkward but accurate translation of the verse might be “Have a friend/family devotion to each other in a friend/family sort of way.” If Paul doesn’t get us with the first adjective, he catches us with the second. In both he reminds us: the church is God’s family.

You didn’t pick me. I didn’t pick you. You may not like me. I may not like you. But since God picked and likes us both, we are family.

Myles and Sherry,

I love this devotion!!!!

Much love,
Aunt K8

Goodmorning Myles,
I hope you enjoyed your first day back to school yesterday. We prayed that you were able to hang in there for 3 periods. We have not stopped praying that God takes away your pain and heals your body so you can do all you did before.
We are also praying for your brother and Mom.

Can't wait to see you all.

Love
Aunt Celia, Uncle Dave, Brian and Marie.

Dear Myles,

Hope everything went well with School. I am certain that your friends were soooooo happy to see you. Please know that you are thought of every day. My office at work has many of the pictures from the blog all over my walls. It is nice, because it reminds me to pray for a sweet young man. I continue to pray for your forearms, and hope that you've been able to tolerate the discomfort!

Keep us posted! Much LOVE
