We attended the funeral today of an innocent young child who was trying to save his brother. The six year old brother got up and said "My brother is my heroe". Very hard one to handle.
On the news after the funeral, a boy at Vallivue High School (the local school of buggies) reported that a kid accidently spilled gas on himself during shop class. Another student knowing that he had gas spilled on him, threw a mathch on him and lit him on fire. This kid was flown to Salt Lake City today to relive our past. The shock, the pain, the surgeries, the fear, more pain................... I'm really not sure of the lesson we are to be learning. I'm really not sure of the compassion of God. We all agreed (Aaron, Tuyet, Myles, and I) that we are going to try and be patient of his message but it is very trying. Myles is going to call the ICU burn unit to tell them that they need to give the loving care to this boy that they gave to him. Lindsey, Ashlee, STEVE, Sean, John, and MARTINI, take the loving care that you gave Myles and give it to this boy. Our cat just had five babies, that's what we named them.......... Lindsey, Ashlee, steve, Sean, and martini. We love you guys so much. Please, please, please, take care of this boy as you did buggies, with your loving care.
Is this all ever going to stop? We are almost done..........

We do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses. Hebrews 4:15
When God chose to reveal himself, he did so (surprise of surprises) through a human body. The tongue that called forth the dead was a human one. The hand that touched the leper had dirt under its nails. The feet upon which the woman wept were calloused and dusty. And his tears…oh, don’t miss the tears…they came from a heart as broken as yours or mine ever has been.
“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses.”
So, people came to him. My, how they came to him! They came at night; they touched him as he walked down the street; they followed him around the sea; they invited him into their homes and placed their children at his feet. Why? Because he refused to be a statue in a cathedral or a priest in an elevated pulpit. He chose instead to be Jesus.
Myles, Sherry, Aaron and all . .. Happy Easter! Myles I hope you enjoyed the Master's tournament. Even Aunt K8 watched it . .. and amazing . . . he gave Jesus Christ the credit.
Hope you had a great day!
Happy Spring!

Our Middle C

"I the LORD do not change."
Malachi 3:6
When Lloyd Douglas, author of The Robe and other novels, attended college, he lived in a boarding house. A retired, wheelchair-bound music professor resided on the first floor. Each morning Douglas would stick his head in the door of the teacher’s apartment and ask the same question, “Well, what’s the good news?” The old man would pick up his tuning fork, tap it on the side of the wheelchair, and say, “That’s middle C!” It was middle C yesterday; it will be middle C tomorrow; it will be middle C a thousand years from now. The tenor upstairs sings flat. The piano across the hall is out of tune, but, my friend, that is middle C.”
You and I need a middle C. Haven’t you had enough change in your life? Relationships change. Health changes. The weather changes. But the Yahweh who ruled the earth last night is the same Yahweh who rules it today. Same convictions. Same plan. Same mood. Same love. He never changes.
AMEN Myles!! Hope all is well! Did you have a nice Easter???? Hope so! It was very cold in Northern Virginia, we actually had snow on Saturday . . .Now that's crazy! I can't remember ever seeing snow in April! Makes me appreciate the warm days . . . even more!
You're loved,

Be Kind to Yourself
Tuesday, April 10, 2007
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
Ephesians 4:32 NKJV
Our heavenly Father is kind to us. And since he is so kind to us, can’t we be a little kinder to ourselves? Oh, but you don’t know me, Max. You don’t know my faults and my thoughts. You don’t know the gripes I grumble and the complaints I mumble. No, I don’t, but he does. He knows everything about you, yet he doesn’t hold back his kindness toward you. Has he, knowing all your secrets, retracted one promise or reclaimed one gift?
No, he is kind to you. Why don’t you be kind to yourself? He forgives your faults. Why don’t you do the same? He thinks tomorrow is worth living. Why don’t you agree? He believes in you enough to call you his ambassador, his follower, even his child. Why not take his cue and believe in yourself?
Myles, Sherry and all,
I love that verse . . . I really do! Hope all is well . . .You continue to be held is our thoughts and prayers.
Much Love,
Aunt k8, Uncle Dwayne, Scott and Kaitlin
