The Healing is Slow

Happy late Easter to all,

I had to take a break from the postings for a while, it was making me sad to not have any good news. The funeral really got to us on an emotional level. We all have been so tied up in the physical aspect of this that our emotional well being had to take to the side. As Myles slowly heals physically we are starting to deal with all of this in very small steps. We had a very nice Easter day at our friends house. The nights are still tough but they ARE getting better. This is another busy week for us, Monday was blood work, today is formal physical therapy, Wed. is fitting for his pressure garments and more blood work. The majority of our days are pretty good until the itching starts. Hopefully that will subside soon as it is very hard to control and practically anything can trigger it, emotions, heat, certain clothes, physical excertion. Myles doesn't like the formal wound care or physical therapy so we usually go get some lunch afterwards.

Hello Myles and Sherry,
You look great Myles. The worms look good enough to eat.
I need to take a nap after reading all that you have to do each day. Just hang in there and remember to just breath. Stop and take in the good things that are happening to you. The itching. This is a good sign. It means you are healing. Yes, it is a pain in the ... but it is Good.
Hang in there. God is always with you.
Love you all

Made in His Image

The God said, "Let Us make man in Our image."
Genesis 1:26, NKJV

Imagine God's creativity. Of all we don't know about the creation, there is one thing we do know–he did it with a smile. he must've had a blast. Painting the stripes on the zebra, hanging the stars in the sky, putting the god in the sunset. What creativity! Stretching the neck of the giraffe, putting the flutter in the mockingbird's wings, planting the giggle in the hyena.

What a time he had. Like a whistling carpenter in his workshop, he loved every bit of it. He poured himself into the work. So intent was his creativity that he took a day off at the end of the week just to rest.

And then, as a finale to a brilliant performance, he made man. With his typical creative flair, he began with a useless mound of dirt and ended up with an invaluable species called a human. A human who had the unique honor to bear the stamp, "In His Image."

Myles, Sherry and all,

Your recent picture is posted for all to see! What a blessing you've been.

We will continue to pray for continued healing!
