Fearful decisions

Sometimes in our lives we have to make fearful decisions. Not a decision based upon fact, intuition, or the true meaning of justice, but on fear. It is a very difficult thing to do. We as a family, are faced with one of these decisions now. Do you agree to something that you know is not right just to "get it over with" and not prolong the anxiety and stress of it all? Do you agree to something that you know is not right because you fear that justice will not be served. I know that things must happen to "get the bad guy" and in this fact, innocence must pay sometimes, but it is a hard thing to accept. Please say a prayer for our clarity for this decision as it is a big one, a difficult one, a scary one. Love to all and thanks.
P.S. The picture is of the baby swallows on our front porch whom I hope fly the coup real soon because their mother is getting a little aggresive.

Unfailing Love
Thursday, August 30, 2007
“I will forgive them for leaving me and will love them freely.”
Hosea 14:4

Are you convinced that you have never lived a loveless day? Not one. Never unloved. Those times you deserted Christ? He loved you. You hid from him; he came looking for you.

And those occasions you denied Christ? Though you belonged to him, you hung with them, and when his name surfaced, you cursed like a drunken sailor. God let you hear the crowing of conscience and feel the heat of tears. But he never let you go. Your denials cannot diminish his love.

Nor can your doubts. You’ve had them. You may have them even now. While there is much we cannot know, may never know, can’t we be sure of this? Doubts don’t separate doubters from God’s love.

I will PRAY PRAY PRAY PRAY PRAY for justice, peace etc.

I LOVE the pictures of the swallows! That cracked me up! Be careful of your heads! If she's on the porch, I'm sure she's dive bombing! Please know that love and prayers continue . . . unceasing!

My prayers are with you all right now. I wish I can make this all go away. We just have to pray, pray, and pray for the right decision is made.

My love and prayers will continue.

Claiming Courage
Friday, August 31, 2007
“You will teach me how to live a holy life.”
Psalm 16:11

Are you a brief journey away from painful encounters? Are you only steps away from the walls of your own heartache?

Learn a lesson from you master. Don’t march into battle with the enemy without first claiming the courage from God’s promises. May I give you a few examples?

When you are confused: “‘I know what I am planning for you,’ says the Lord. ‘I have good plans for you, not plans to hurt you.’” (Jer. 29:11 NCV)

If you feel weighted by yesterday’s failures: “So now, those who are in Christ Jesus are not judged guilty” (Rom. 8:1 NCV).

On those nights when you wonder where God is: “I am the Holy One, and I am among you” (Hos. 11:9 NCV).

In this time . . .you need to absolutely know that God is with you! Couldn't have sent a better devotion at this time!

Have a good holiday weekend. Much love, and continued prayers.
