We have started our next mountain to climb (even though we are only half way through our first mountain) . Our love for one another will give us the strength but your prayers can help give us a push when it all gets to difficult to climb anymore. All of your prayers and support saved one of my son's and now I am asking you to pray to help my other.
My unending gratitude and thanks,
Sherry

Brother of burn victim appears in court
Myles Ganley and family support Aaron Sogoian, charged in fire

Myles Ganley, the Nampa 12-year-old severely burned in a Nampa gas station fire in February, was in the courtroom Tuesday to support his older brother, who is charged with sparking that fire.
Aaron Sogoian, 26, arrived in court with Myles and other family members, who hugged him and sometimes fought back tears. It was Sogoian's first court appearance on felony charges of aggravated 2nd degree arson and injury to a child.
The beginning of the court case against Sogoian has added uncertainly and grief to the trauma of Ganley's injuries and recovery, Sherry Ganley, the boys' mother, said in a recent interview. Family members declined to comment Tuesday.
Magistrate Bradley Ford set a preliminary hearing for June 4, during which a judge will decide whether there is enough evidence to move the case to 3rd District Court.
Sogoian is accused of sparking a lighter while filling a 1995 Buick with gas at a south Nampa gas station on Feb 17, igniting gas fumes. The fire spread to his younger brother who was severely burned on his body, arms and hands. Sogoian also is charged with injury to a child for not immediately rendering aid or care.
Myles Ganley spent a couple of months in a Salt Lake City burn center and still has a long road to recovery, family members have said. The seventh-grader returned to school almost full-time last month.
Sogoian could face up to 25 years in prison if convicted on the arson charge and up to 10 years more for the second charge. He is free on his own recognizance.
A videotape of the incident recorded by gas station security cameras is a key piece of evidence that prosecutors say was a key factor in their decision to press charges. Prosecutors have declined to release the video to the media.
Firefighters who responded to the scene of the fire initially described the incident as a tragic accident.
Sherry Ganley said she believes the charges are unjustified, and she needs the help of her older son to provide an intense level of care for Ganley. She believes helping to care for Ganley is also healing emotionally for Sogoian, who said in prior interviews that he was devastated by the incident and loves his brother dearly.
"What kind of justice is in kicking a small and loving family when they are at they're lowest?" Sherry Ganley said earlier. "I fear that we might not have the strength to endure what is being set before us, injury on top of injury."

Aaron,
My prayers have been with you during the healing process for Myles. You have not been forgotten. I don't know what the tapes have to show but if I was in the same situation I would freeze, would be in shock.
May God be with you. I will give you a big Hug and kiss when I see you next week.
We love you,
Cecelia
No More Sacrifices

“He came as High Priest of this better system which we now have.”
Hebrews 9:11 TLB
Even a casual student of Scriptures notes the connection between blood and mercy. As far back as the son of Adam, worshipers knew “without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness” (Heb. 9:22 NIV).
With a field as his temple and the ground as his altar, Abel became the first to do what millions would imitate. He offered a blood sacrifice for sins.
Those who followed suit form a long line: Abraham, Moses, Gideon, Samson, Saul, David…They knew the shedding of blood was necessary for the forgiveness of sins. Jacob knew it too; hence, the stones were stacked for the altar…
But the line ended at the cross. What Abel sought to accomplish in the field, God achieved with his Son. What Abel began, Christ completed. After Christ’s sacrifice there would be no more need to shed blood.
Dear Myles, Sherry and Aaron,
I don't know what it was, but I couldn't get Aaron off my mind yesterday, now i know why. Aaron, hang in there! We are praying for you, and you will get through this. There has to be compassion in this world. . . there just has to be. Myles, I know this is just as hard for you. You might only be 'almost 13', but from what i've seen these past few months, you have experienced more in your life, than most adults.
I will continue to pray, if i can do more, please let me know.
Much love to all.
Kate
Shame on the DA's office, what a crock of s##t. The city should be embarrassed for their actions. Thats all I have to say right now. Love, Uncle Myles
Sherry,
Has anyone thought about setting up some kind of petition on or off line to try to fight Aaron being charged?
Sorry to upset the tone of your site, but it BURNS ME WITH RAGE that the high & mighty "Canyon County Prosecutor's office" sees it fit to draw you into its legal cesspool. Haven't you suffered enough through a horrible family tragedy? Do they call their loathsome behavior the pursuit of justice??? Or do they see you as wards of the state???
YOU ARE THE CITIZEN, and the GOVERNMENT'S job is TO PROTECT YOUR LIFE, LIBERTY, AND PROPERTY. WHAT THE HELL BUSINESS DO THEY HAVE IMPOSING THEMSELVES ON YOU WHEN NO MALA IN SE CRIME WAS COMMITTED??? It's an example of the contempt those "public servants" have for us--THEIR MASTERS. In fact THEY are what's wrong with America today. They are leeches on society with their commercial/admiralty courts and presumed jurisdiction over any and everything, and everyone. They waste your time and they will take your liberty under the color of law for some imagined fantasy offense against the State. The mafia never had it so good. Even if you win, you loose (your money) TO THEM in attorney fees. IT IS LEGALIZED THEFT. MY GOD WHY THE HELL DON'T PEOPLE WAKE UP!!! WHERE'S THE PUBLIC OUTRAGE!!!

I was so sad to hear about the tragic accident. I know what your going through as my Niece Was burned in a gas station accident when she was 8 years old. She received 3rd degree burns over 70% of her body. She is now 17 years old and just graduated from high school but it was a long road to recovery. The Shriners were a great help. My niece wasn't doing well at the hospital in Vegas so they air lifted her to the Shriners burn center in San Francisco and she improved dramatically. They pick her up every year and she attends a special shriners burn camp. She feels bonded with the other kids that have gone through the same torture. Perhaps you could look into it for Myles. It might help. You are truly a loving mother and I pray that the authorities come to their senses and dismiss all charges against Aaron. He has been through enough and I'm sure no one will ever know what he goes through daily knowing that his brother has suffered. Lots of Love and Prayers from Huntington Beach. Mo
