I finished it! I built this deck all by myself (not bad for 51). It took me around three days and some very sore nights, but it's done (it's 16 feet x 10 feet). The only thing left is the canopy. Myles help me stain it last night and it looks great. We took his IV out yesterday but the area of the stitches and port is still a little sore. Other than that he is doing great. Good thing that he could still play video games through all of this, that ALWAYS seem to help the pain.

you two did a great job. I know it I had done this I would be so proud of myself, so you should do the same.
I am more pleased to hear that Myles is doing so well. We have been praying extra hard for his recovery.
THANK YOU GOD FOR THE CONTINUED HEALING, YOUR HANDS HAVE BEEN WORKING OVERTIME. THANK YOU!
Have a great day.

Christ Came to Serve
Wednesday, July 09, 2008
“They all may call on the name of the LORD, to serve Him with one accord.”
Zephaniah 3:9
Jesus came to serve.
He let a woman in Samaria interrupt his rest, a woman in adultery interrupt his sermon, a woman with a disease interrupt his plans, and one with remorse interrupt his meal.
Though none of the apostles washed his feet, he washed theirs. Though none of the soldiers at the cross begged for mercy, he extended it. And though his followers skedaddled like scared rabbits on Thursday, he came searching for them on Easter Sunday. The resurrected King ascended to heaven only after he’d spent forty days with his friends—teaching them, encouraging them…serving them.
Why? It’s what he came to do. He came to serve.
Hey the deck looks great!! AND, just look at your facebook profile picture, and you'll take the comment about your age right AWAY! Much love to all, very pleased to hear that Myles is doing so well. Continued prayers for ALL! ~Aunt k8
Via Dolorosa
Friday, July 11, 2008
“God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself.”
2 Corinthians 5:19 NKJV
The most notorious road in the world is the Via Dolorosa, “the Way of Sorrows.” According to tradition, it is the route Jesus took from Pilate’s hall to Calvary. The path is marked by stations frequently used by Christians for their devotions. One station marks the passing of Pilate’s verdict. Another, the appearance of Simon to carry the cross. There are fourteen stations in all, each one a reminder of the events of Christ’s final journey.
Is the route accurate? Probably not…No one knows the exact route Christ followed that Friday.
But we do know where the path actually began.
The path began, not in the court of Pilate, but in the halls of heaven. The Father began his journey when he left his home in search of us…His desire was singular—to bring his children home…
The path to the cross tells us exactly how far God will go to call us back.
Hope all is well. I send Kaitlin to Italy tomorrow for 10 days. I'll be sad without her. But, it will give me a taste of her leaving for college in exactly one month. Much love and continued prayers for all!! Aunt k8
Great job on the deck there. You two are very good carpenters.
Now that I said that. Myles rule number 1. As a man, women will want to do crap to you, that no other man would do to another man. Most of us men have gone through this in our lives. I said most "sorry Myles I have not" I think if you do girlie things like that, man things will fall off. Just my thought. But Myles if you do things like that just to please a girl. That is fine and dandy. But never and I mean never "POST IN ON THE INTERNET!!!!!!"
Now that, that has been said.I hope that I will never see that again.
How is your golf game going? Mine right now stinks. I'm hooking the ball. And it is driving me up the wall. And when I do need to play a hook, it goes straight. My handi-cap is a 9.5. But I have not been able to even get close to that.
Well I have better get going. It is a beautiful day out there. And am I going golfing. NO!, am I going to play out there NO! I have to go sit in a doctors office. I know you know how fun that can be.
But don't you worry I'm not going to post any of that exam on the net. Me turning my head and coughing, me leaning over the exam table, with the look of please be gentle. Those situation, will only stay with me.
OK Myles you take care.
Love ya.
