Wednesday 5 am.
Myles' surgery went well. He had a pretty rough time yesterday recovering because of vomiting most of the day (good ole' anasthesia) and anyone who has had surgery knows that throwing up with stitches in you is not fun. By last night everything seem to finally settled down. The pain was rough for him right after the surgery but that too seems to be calming down. When we showed up at the hospital yesterday morning (which was a pretty quiet drive) his dad was there waiting. Myles lit up like a lightbulb and was in a great mood in pre-op. Thank you Gino, it helped soooo much. Hopefully we get to go home today!! All of your prayers worked great.

Sherry,
Thank God Kate does have a straight line to God. We have been praying so hard for Myles. That little boy has been through so much I pray he doesn't have to have anymore surgeries for a long time.
What a blessing Gino showed up! That makes me very happy.
God bless you all, now get some rest too.
Love to all
Cecelia
Hi Sherry and Mr. Myles !!
Yeah Eugene was there !! That just made my day !! And I believe if anyone did have a straight line to the "Big Guy" that would be Katie..She is the best....You are in our prayers..Give Myles a little hug !

Hi Sherry,
I don't know if you remember me or not... but this is Antoinette, Aaron's friend from Westminster. Anyhow, I came across this blog and I just want to commend you and the entire family on how strong you guys are. Myles has grown up to be such a handsome young man. I'm sure you're tremendously proud of your two boys. Well, I hope this note finds you well. I would love to hear from you. Please email me anytime.
Love,
Antoinette

Myles, Sherry and ALL . . .God tells us to pray without ceasing . . no direct line to God, that everybody doesn't have. I am soooo happy that all went well, and even more pleased that Eugene was there for his little man. That is an answer to many prayers, but more importantly a blessing to Myles. I couldn't be happier. I will CONTINUE to keep EVERYONE in my prayers, much love . . . .
A List of Our Sins
Thursday, July 03, 2008
“He canceled the record that contained the charges against us. He…destroyed it by nailing it to Christ’s cross.”
Colossians 2:14 NLT
Come with me to the hill of Calvary…Watch as the soldiers shove the Carpenter to the ground and stretch his arms against the beams. One presses a knee against a forearm and a spike against a hand. Jesus turns his face toward the nail just as the soldier lifts the hammer to strike it.
The crowd at the cross concluded that the purpose of the pounding was to skewer the hands of Christ to a beam. But they were only half-right. We can’t fault them for missing the other half. They couldn’t see it…
Between his hand and the wood there was a list. A long list. A list of our mistakes: our lusts and lies, greedy moments and prodigal years. A list of our sins.
The list, however, cannot be read. The words can’t be deciphered. The mistakes are covered. The sins are hidden. Those at the top are hidden by his hand; those down the list are covered by his blood.
