Autobiographical Incident: By Myles Ganley 10/23/07
My pulse, my breath, my skin is deteriorating moment by moment. This is by far the worst pain anyone can ever have and it was laid upon me to bear it. Jaws were dropped and tears were flowing like rivers, and denial was everywhere.
Family was screaming with pain and denial. The air was thick with sorrow and unbearable fear. How could this happen to me and my family, why would this happen to me and my family? This couldn’t be true, but be just a horrible nightmare.
Torture was laid upon my small family with nothing that can help that doesn’t include pain upon my body and emotions. Everyday asking how and why over and over, it was said through countless minds. Scraping and screaming, I was tortured only so I could get better.
My family was there every moment by moment and all I could say was that “I love you.” I was thankful that I had them, and grateful that I am alive and emotionally more capable than before.
Healing was full of joyful tears and still sorrow for my little family. Through the whole thing all I asked myself was why and how. We pulled through with love and hope for the best but it was still the most unbearable thing my family and I could take.

The Embers of Love
Wednesday, October 24, 2007
“God has given us the Holy Spirit, who fills our hearts with his love.”
Romans 5:5 CEV
What if you’re married to someone you don’t love—or who doesn’t love you? Many choose to leave. That may be the step you take. But if it is, take at least a thousand others first. And bathe every one of those steps in prayer. Love is a fruit of the Spirit. Ask God to help you love as he loves. “God has given us the Holy Spirit, who fills our hearts with his love.” Ask everyone you know to pray for you. Your friends. Your family. Your church leaders. Get your name on every prayer list available. And, most of all, pray for and, if possible, with your spouse. Ask the same God who raised the dead to resurrect the embers of your love…
Isn’t it good to know that even when we don’t love with a perfect love, he does? God always nourishes what is right. He always applauds what is right. He has never done wrong, led one person to do wrong, or rejoiced when anyone did wrong. For he is love.
WOW Myles, your words are awesome and heartfelt. I give you an A+, hope your teacher did the same. Much love to all!

“No More”
Thursday, October 25, 2007
“The Lord himself will come down from heaven with a loud command.”
I Thessalonians 4:16
Have you ever wondered what that command will be? It will be the inaugural word of heaven. It will be the first audible message most have heard from God. It will be the word that closes one age and opens a new one.
I think I know what the command will be. I could very well be wrong, but I think the command that puts an end to the pains of the earth and initiates the joys of heaven will be two words: “No more.”
The King of Kings will raise his pierced hand and proclaim, “No more.”
The angels will stand and the Father will speak, “No more.”
Every person who lives and ever lived will turn toward the sky and hear God announce, “No more.”
No more loneliness.
No more tears.
No more death. No more sadness. No more crying. No more pain.
Hey Myles!! Guess what . . . we have RAIN!! It's been raining for about 24 hours. Usually, I'm not all about the rain, but when it's been nothing but NO rain, for SO long, I'm all about the rain. Hope all is well with you. You are so loved!

Give Up Your Life
Friday, October 26, 2007
“He gave up his place with God and made himself nothing.”
Philippians 2:7
God grants us an uncommon life to the degree we surrender our common one. “If you try to keep your life for yourself, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for me, you will find true life” (Matt. 16:25 NLT).
Jesus did. He “made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men…He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death” (Phil. 2:7-8).
No one in Nazareth saluted him as the Son of God. He did not stand out in his elementary-classroom photograph, demanded no glossy page in his high school annual. Friends knew him as a woodworker, not a star hanger. His looks turned no heads; his position earned him no credit. “He gave up his place with God and made himself nothing.”
God hunts for those who will do likewise—people through whom he can deliver Christ into the world.
Wow quite a sacrifice. Hey Myles!! AND ALL!! Hope all is well. It's the marine corp marathon weekend. I'm not running the marathon this year, just the 10K portion. BUT, it will be a fun weekend in Washington DC. I'm training for the Disney Marathon in FLA. I will be seeing your Aunt 'T'. Anyway, much love and continued prayers for ALL!
