Second Post Op 11:00 am

Myles just got out of his second surgery. They were able to remove all of the hundreds of staples holding his grafts in place (GREAT NEWS, THE GRAFTS ARE ALL TAKING). His donor sites are healing slowly but they are healing. The doctor says that he may even be able to sit upright in his bed today. They are hoping that in the next few days that he will be able to start walking around a little bit. His legs were not burnt but completely used for the donor sites. I truly believe that we are finally starting on the "ROAD TO RECOVERY". I am sorry I didn't post anything yesterday but it was a pretty hard and painful day for Myles (which always makes for a hard and painful day for me) and I was too tired to write anything. Good days, bad days, good moments, bad moments...............Your prayers, love, and well wishing are definitey surrounding him. Thank you all from the depths of my soul and beyond. There are no words to describe my gratitude for all the loving support and prayers that you have given to Myles and Aaron, for Myles' physical well being and Aaron's emotional well being. WE WILL GET THROUGH THIS, I FEEL THAT IT IS GOD'S WILL. I will write later today after Myles wakes up and let you know how he is feeling.
Love to All
Sherry

I hope he's feeling well. I'm so glad the grafts have taken and now Myles isn't stapled together. This is DEFINATELY the start of the road to recovery. And knowing Myles, he will impress the hospital staff daily with his increadible healing rate, high spirits, and continuing charm. I love you all. Sherry, get some rest and let yourself heal a little. Aaron, I hope everything is going well for you. You should rest and clear your head too. Myles, keep up the good work. I'm so proud of you and you never cease to amaze me.

Love always,
Jenna Sanders

Myles,
Glad to hear that all your surgeries and bandage changes look good. That means your on the road to getting better with each day. I bet it is painful getting that stuff done, but you are a strong dude with a high spirit and know that in the end it will be for the good. Hope they do let you start walking around soon that will even make you stronger. Kim did well at the rabbit show, a few firsts and a couple of secounds so that tells her were her rabbit program is at. She of coarse had to buy some more rabbits while she was there, so I am thinking that was the real reason for going actually. What do you think ? The calf is getting stronger every day too and is running around pestering his mother. Aron called to say that they had made it home safely and would be taking over the chores. Sherry if there is anything else that we can do for you let us know and we will do it. Hang in there and take care, We love you both. Randy and Kim

My daughter goes to school with your son. She told me how Myles was always the one in PE to tell her "good job" even when she made mistakes. That meant a lot to her and she'll never forget your son. We've been checking back here every day to see how he's doing and we're keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.

Hi Buggies! Wow, you certainly have many frinds from school and home, family, relatives and people you have never met that are praying for you and love you so very much. Your buddies are waiting for you to shoot some hoops but then...the chicks! It doesn't surprise me with all your charm and charisma that you have the young ladies lined up. I spent the weekend with Uncle Gary helping with the animals AND in your honor I took a spin on the golf cart, you know, that lean-machine that you cause any shot-gun passenger to hold onto for dear life, cruising through neighbors land, up and down hillsides that one would never imagine...but a good driver! It is wonderful that you are "staple-free" and healing well. You, Aaron, your Mom, Uncle Gary and Mona are truly special. I love you and we are all very proud of you! Auntie Darlene

Myles,

AWESOME! I'm so glad to hear that healing is taking place. Again, I'm hearing from a lot of people, in a lot of places . . . prayers will continue. (Prov 3:5-8
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own
understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall
direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD
and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, and strength to your bones.) Keep the pictures, and the updates coming! Aaron AND Sherry, hang in there! You're ALL included in our many prayers requests.

Much love,
K8

I should have known how brave you are when you wanted to climb into the gorilla pit at SDWP. You are an inspiration to me, as I read the updates and see your smiling face. You are on prayer chains nationwide, and at the top of my personal prayer list, along with Aaron, and of course your mother (Hi Sherry). I feel that God has some big plans for you Myles. Very glad to hear you may be able to walk some next week. God bless you - more every day.
Love you much buddy,
Cousin Elaine

Hey Myles,
Its Bonnie here. It's good to see you smiling again. It really looks like your getting better. Sadie and Ged went home yesterday. I can't believe how big they are! Hercules and him had a great time. In the middle of the night, Frank would get mad and start barking and all FIVE dogs started barking. Everyone here is praying for you.
At church yesterday, I had to stand on a pew cause I'm short, and tell everyone how your doing. Hi Sherri! Always praying
Bonnie:)

Hey Kid!

So Glad to hear that everything is healing! It's also good they knocked you out to take all of those staples out. I remember about a year ago I got stabbed in the hand with a pencil and they had to surgically remove it. I was under general anastesia for about 3 hours, and all they had to do was about a 1/2 hole in my hand and I had 2 stitches. And I thought that was painful. You truly are my hero going through all of this and still have a smile on your face.

Love You Kid.

♥Kaitlin

p.s. Every free moment I get at school and work you are on my mind and pray every chance I get. Also, I hope the sitting up and Walking go smoothly, Stretching that newly placed skin is going to be hard at first, but I know you can do it.

Hey Myles

We haven't met in person yet -we received word from our friend Mrs Martin.

Glad to hear that they were able to remove all of those staples and praying that your skin will be healing wonderfully. My 4 1/2 year old daughter Priscilla designed a card for you - you should be receiving it soon!

Our church and prayer warriors as well as our family are keeping you in prayer - we love your big smile on your pictures! God bless all of you and we are praying that all of you may be strenghtened with all power according to His glorious might so that you might have great endurance and patience and joyfully giving thanks to the Father.

Open Your Heart

“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” Psalm 56:3 NLT

How did Jesus endure the terror of the crucifixion? He went first to the Father with his fears. He modeled the words of Psalm 56:3: “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”

Do the same with yours. Don’t avoid life’s Gardens of Gethsemane. Enter them. Just don’t enter them alone. And while there, be honest. Pounding the ground is permitted. Tears are allowed. And if you sweat blood, you won’t be the first. Do what Jesus did; open your heart.

And be specific. Jesus was. “Take this cup,” he prayed. Give God the number of the flight. Tell him the length of the speech. Share the details of the job transfer. He has plenty of time. He also has plenty of compassion.

He doesn’t think your fears are foolish or silly. He won’t tell you to “buck up” or “get tough.” He’s been where you are. He knows how you feel.

And he knows what you need.

Heya Myles,

We are so glad to hear that your last surgery went so well.

I have to tell you something funny...
Yesterday i was a work (im a nurse now at childrens hospital) and of course i had to check in on you. Some of the nurses that i work with saw your picture... and they all asked about you. told them your story.. and now they are all checking in on you to! The word travels fast i guess because one of the doctors i work with came up to me to ask about you! Everyone is pulling for you!!!

I have to admit that i keep wondering what your doing... Watching TV? Laughing... flirting with the nurses? I bet they are all so happy to be taking care of such a great kid! Anyway can you please do me a small favor?
Can you ask you mom to call me? I need to ask her something.
Alright you... we are so proud of you. Keep smiling!

We love you.
